Lee McQueen

Lee McQueen is a native speaker of American English and was born in the Midwest region of the United States. The Midwest region is known as a major recruiting ground for news programs on both coasts since the accent is considered “neutral” and universal in North America. Lee has also been a reading tutor and narrator of books for blind and dyslexic readers.

She has been a librarian, a bookstore owner, and a substitute teacher and holds an MLS from SUNY-Buffalo, a BA from Xavier University, and coursework in public affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.

She is certified to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages via the 120HR course offered with Institute of TEFL & TESOL Training. She has taught English in nations on the African continent, Central America, and North America for various schools and organizations.

She enjoys writing, research, water colors, gardening, orchard work, and travel.

Now editor and publisher at McQueen Press, her projects include novels, poetry, short stories, screenplays, songwriting, song demos, and greeting cards. Her latest project is the Basic American English for Beginners Course.
