Phin Hall

Phin Hall is a writer, storyteller, escape-room designer and professional dabbler in far too many things.

He has been a youth worker, pastor, piano teacher, pub manager, AV technician, troubleshooter, ghostwriter and, briefly, an ice-cream man. He also has a degree in music, although he’s still waiting for that to become useful.

These days, Phin runs Immersion Escape Rooms in Hampshire, where he gets to combine his love of stories, puzzles, technology, set-building and making things considerably more complicated than they need to be. He also writes books, because apparently running a business full of secret doors and mysterious contraptions wasn’t enough.

His writing began with terrible teenage poetry, progressed through unfinished science fiction and eventually led to published non-fiction, ghostwriting and his own fiction, including Montgomery’s Trouble in the Underworld.

Phin lives in Hampshire with his wife, Marie, and their four children. When he isn’t writing or building things, he is probably thinking about writing or building things.
