Margaret Cooper Evans

Margaret Evans,(now Margaret Cooper-Evans) born in Highgate in London, grew up in Shoreditch, with an Irish mother and Cockney father. B.A Hons Hornsey College of Art,first of the family to attend Uni. Joined BBC worked for the Open University as Rostrum Camerawomen first woman in UK to do this. Passed BBC's Creative Writing & Script to Screen course. Articles published in teen magazines & national press & short stories in women's magazines. Lived in Cornwall for 7 years moved with husbands job, ran my own Cornish holiday rental business, Cobblers Cottage & Seagull Cottage, with 3 & 4 star ratings. Alongside running Coppernob Design, a website & graphic design business which was the West Cornwall Enterprise Trust winner for best innovative business idea. Currently Goodwyfe of Captain Robert Levens regiment of The Sealed Knot, member of this English Civil War re-enactment society for 20 years. I make authentic looking 17c clothing and cook 17c recipes that I've researched from the period. I am also a 1940s re-enactor and Steampunk enthusiast. I currently work for the National Trust as a room guide.
