John Abeln

John Abeln grew up in Northern California during the 50's and 60's enjoying the wild, experimental times. He did a stint in Europe, working for a U.S. company for 5 years in Belgium, so his understanding of culture and history is not the average American’s. Along the way he's collected several drawers of rejection letters from agents and publishers. Now in his pre-retirement stage he's finding the time to publish his novels using Kindle and Amazon Books as his chosen vehicle to reach the public. He has a European Murder Mystery Series (Fiction. Main character owns a healthcare software company and ends up in murder cases that he has to defend against.) and a Crying Body Series (SF fantasy staged in year 2320.)

John has now created a new series -Southwest Detective Series- and his first book, The Bridge Jumper has been followed by Teva Tan. Both stories happen in a small imaginary town, Trissa, where many of the characters in the series are introduced. The next novel, Painted Mountains, involves state-wide bank robbery episodes brought on by four brothers faster at escaping than the local police. Until Chief Detective Alberto Cargile becomes the hunter. On vacation, Chief Cargile's rest and relaxation with his sister and nephews a plagued by a series of murders in the lake's resort. Working in conjunction with the local police Alberto thwarts the unexpected nemesis. Many more stories are being hatched and will become available in the future so stay tuned as they used to say.
