Rose Beach...is a raw, controversial and funny author. She uses humour and positivity to overcome social obstacles and non-judgement is a constant in her writings and life philosophy.

Her favorite hobby is drinking bubbly and watching trashy romance reality shows while trying unsuccessfully not to get too involved.

After a chance encounter leads to becoming a hostess in Tokyo, Japan for a three month stint, farm girl Rose Beach can't resist the temptation... So, she made the decision to move there and stayed for ten years.

The moral of her first book,"Champagne Salary - from the diary of a Tokyo hostess" is that you can find friendship, love and happiness in the most unlikely of circumstances.

Rose Beach is in the process of writing the sequel, "Champagne Salary - flip of the coin". It takes place in Canada and talks about the genocide of the Canadian Aboriginal people and the effects of intergenerational racism. Are you thinking, "holy, that's heavy?" Don't worry. The theme is uplifting. Stand up for the people who can't do it for themselves. Stand up for what you believe in, but honestly, don't take yourself too seriously, people. Laughter is the best medicine.
