Melanie Paticoff

Melanie Paticoff is the author of the Sophie's Tales series about a little dog with hearing loss who uses a cochlear implant. Mel is a graduate student studying deaf education at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She was inspired to raise awareness about hearing loss because of her close relationship with her cousin Julie who uses two cochlear implants to listen and speak.
