Hi there!

I'm rather long in the tooth to be considered as a 'young writer', or as Isaac Asimov would have said, "I am a trifle over 35". I was born in London, UK, but spent some childhood in Kent.

Books have always fascinated me, and at an early age, I became addicted to Astounding and other pulp magazines. What I like about science fiction is the 'what if' factor. As our knowledge of science has grown, (and boy has it grown recently!)some people have said that there is less room to manoeuvre in the 'what if' space, but I think that it has given many more exciting avenues to explore.

Having not been born with a silver spoon, I have had to work for a living, and this has interfered with my desire to write. Despite that, I have had an interesting work life: I learned to fly in the RAF and seen some of the world by doing so, and since then I have worked in companies involved in aerospace. This has given me a huge source of background material and experience to draw upon. Now that I have 'free time', I'm busier than ever, I have settled down to write, not necessarily only science fiction, but always with 'What if'.

So what have I been doing recently? I have written and published fifteen books, all fiction. The last five have been collections of short (some short - short) stories of pure fantasy. I am particularly proud of my novel 'OLD CHURCH', set in my East Anglia where some horrific events culminate in a fight for good against evil. The cover was created by my cousin Danny White who also created the cover for the short story collection 'LUBIN'; the title being the story created by him as he drew the picture. I expect that there will be more collaberations.
