Albertine Williams

Albertine Williams was born in Dumas, Arkansas and lived there until the age of 9 when she moved to Los Angeles with her family. She attended school in the Los Angeles and Compton Unified school districts. She moved to Kansas City at the age of 19 and currently lives there with her two daughters.

She wrote her very first poem when she was in the fourth grade. In her adult years she found that her only relief from life's trials was to simply write what she was feeling. She is now the published author of The Parchments and Intimate Things, with more books in the works. She is also an inspirational blogger. For Williams, writing grew from being a lifeline to a way of life.
