J.E. Rowney

J.E. Rowney is a British author of psychological, domestic and survival thrillers about ordinary women caught in impossible situations.

Her novels combine addictive premises, emotional tension and unsettling twists, exploring complicated relationships, buried secrets, trauma, survival and the uncomfortable truth that we may never fully know the people closest to us.

Her books include *Where No One Can Hear You* and *Where No One Can Find You* from The Survivor Stories, alongside *Nothing But Questions*, *Wish You Were Her*, *The Book Swap*, *Somebody’s Watching Me*, *I Can’t Sleep* and *Gaslight*. Her work has been published internationally in multiple languages and audiobook editions.

Before focusing on her writing, Rowney worked for the NHS. She later completed an MA in Creative Writing and Publishing, and her understanding of human behaviour and mental health continues to shape the emotionally complex characters at the heart of her thrillers.

Rowney says: “I always dreamed of being a writer, until I realised that I was. Then I started to write.”
