The author, Kathir (50), an Indian, is basically a civil engineer. After his studies he wanted to build a construction company. The author, as he wanted to become a businessperson, studied about business too. Although he had good academic record and managerial skill, he could not succeed in his venture. But, he found few of his friends and his students with poor academic record and skill were able to achieve success. The author found that ‘the external factors’ such as chances and circumstances played important role in their success.

As the construction venture turned to be failure; later he involved in other businesses. In other ventures too, he found the circumstances offered more resistance to achieve success. Ultimately, the author concluded, life is more than a fancy thing! Therefore, he started enquiry over ‘the life’. He studied various modern philosophies; but they were not satisfying, as they could not reach the nucleus on which the life of human beings tied.

He says,’ we know, we do not develop faith on one whom we do not know. In the same way, although all of our religions tell about god,who controls our life; people do not understand the invisible connection between us and god. This lack of understanding of connection between god and us, prevents the people from having complete faith in god. Therefore, especially, the present generation needs scientific and logical explanations of the connections between God and our life, to develop faith in the God. The Vedanta says that God keeps himself hidden in order to be explored by human beings. Therefore, it becomes a duty for us to explore the connection of god with us’.

We know each of our religion put forth a god of its own. The author says people misunderstand the concept of many gods. He says, the Advaita Vedanta philosophy brings entire population to one religion under one God. The Vedanta philosophy explains scientifically and logically the connections of our life to the god. The author has been studying and researching the Vedanta philosophy for the past 15 years.

In his life, at once, he understood the truth of life, the author says, his attitude towards the life entirely changed. He stopped fighting, struggling with the life events. He found everything was flowing smoothly after his removal of his ‘ego’, i.e., the ‘I do’ sense. Now he feels the independence, bliss and finds no misery touches him.

As many people being unaware of this knowledge, which is useful for avoiding misery traps and to find satisfaction in life, the author wants to disseminate it through his series of books.
