Matthew Wilkinson

I've actually spent my entire life programming and creating video games for every platform from the 8-bit Sinclair Spectrum and NES, all the way to today's 360 and PS3. During that entire time I've loved to write stories, but it has always been purely for my own enjoyment; it never once occurred to me that my writing might be good or interesting enough to be published.

That all changed when I met my wonderful wife roughly six years ago, and I finally felt comfortable enough to let someone else read my work. Not only did she persuade me to actually finish the book that I started over fifteen years ago, but after several years of gentle bullying and persuasion, I've actually published it too; I'm extremely proud.

I'm incredibly happy that she made me see sense and that my love of writing can now be (hopefully) enjoyed by others. She has given me the confidence and self belief to not stop there - I'm going to finally finish the other four books that I started all those years ago!

Oh, and I now get to have an artsy black-and-white author picture, too!
