Basil Jay

Basil was born in London in 1942but most of his childhood was spent first in a small village in the Midlands, and later in the seaside resort of Margate on the South Coast of England.

During the early 1960s Basil played keyboards for a little known Rock Band. He qualified as a surveyor and married Anne (Polly) in 1965. They have three children and split their time between homes in England and The Canary Islands.

65 Days to Delhi is Basil’s sixth book, but he has also recorded an anthology of war poetry for which he composed the music. Full details of other works can be found on Basil’s web page basiljaybooks.com
