So as not to give false impressions ladies and gentlemen, the pic of myself that you see here is what I looked like when I originally began writing my memoir.
Today however, Im a much more proficient writer and if I had to I could review my book and the come away would be “Who the hell taught you to write like this,” but really, its depth is what carries it. So I would say “screw the semantics, and on with the show.”
My name is Jerry Bryson McMillan and I’m the Author of “To Then and Back Again.” I only hope that if and when you do read my memoir you will take something ponderous and worthy of the time you invested into the short span of my life from so very long ago. And too that you’ve taken a little somethin’ somethin’ that means as much to you in its reading as it did to me in its writing.
I would say this though- When we allow ourselves to truly see the world through another’s eyes, even if only but for a brief moment, we unwittingly have increased not only our emotional, but our empathic quotient, or I suppose what we could call our EEQ.
It is a phenomenal and an extraordinary gift to have bestowed upon us and will help guide us when our own path seems obscured by so many things we feel and fear throughout our own lives.
