Henry Marks

After a lengthy career as a psychologist working with behaviorally disordered, developmentally delayed children, I retired. My wife of almost 30 years and I came to Oregon. While she was alive we visited a number of foreign countries. After her death, I continued to travel, often with friends. Growing medical issues forced me to curtail many of these activities and I turned to fiction writing as one of a number of hobbies.

I found I truly enjoyed the writing and the opportunity to create a variety of characters. I also enjoyed the research that went along with creating a realistic story. For the book, "A Trip to Ravenna," I was able to use many of my own experiences when I visited the city. I have been able to tap the knowledge of the local police department to make several of the stories more realistic
