Young Yee is the Chief Climatologist for Mkey Technologies, directing research projects in atmospheric profiling and meteorological measurements. He has more than 20 years of experience involving atmospheric wind and temperature profile retrievals and boundary layer meteorological measurements.
Mr. Yee was a Senior Research Meteorologist for the atmospheric science division of the Information and Computational Sciences Directorate of the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) from 1991 to 2005. At the ARL, he was an independent investigator, project leader, and a test director of numerous field experiments in the Analysis, Instrumentation, and Measurement team of the Atmospheric Sciences Laboratory. Mr. Yee led the laboratory’s field measurement team in the Joint Urban 2002 experiments, the Mock Urban Settings test, and several NATO sponsored field operations. From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Yee held the Army Research Laboratory Chair position at the Naval Postgraduate School working with the NPS Computer Sciences Department on virtual reality modeling of atmospheric effects. Yee wrote a chapter on spectrophone absorption measurements in the book "Atmospheric Aerosols: Their formation Atmospheric Aerosols: Their Formation, Optical Properties, and Effects". He has written over sixty scientific papers in the atmospheric sciences and has contributed professional articles in edited books. Mr. Yee is the current vice-president of the El Paso/Las Cruces Local Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
