M. Pike

Growing up a ‘Navy Brat’, M. Pike had the great fortune to have lived in a variety of places; from the tropics of Hawaii, to the deserts of Arizona and Nevada, and even the more arctic regions of Canada. Born in Virginia, she and her family were transferred every few years and with each transfer came new people, new places and new adventures.

Moving so often however, required frequently making new friends and saying goodbye to old ones. Reading became her one constant companion. As a result, she developed a love of reading at an early age. Her parents as well are both prolific readers of everything from self help to science fiction. So, being surrounded by such a wide variety of books, she has enjoyed reading everything from Tolstoy to popular fiction.

Her love of reading eventually grew to include writing as well. However, even though she began writing at an early age, often getting caught by her teachers writing stories instead of doing her school work, this is her very first novel. “A Heart Restored” is a labor of love which began many years ago as just something fun to do. Eventually it took on a life of its own and became what M. Pike intends to be the first, but not the last time she puts pen to paper
