Andrea Coutu

Andrea Coutu is a writer, consultant, coach and instructor from Vancouver, Canada. She founded a marketing and consulting firm in 1997 and soon found herself working on projects for organizations ranging from tiny start-ups to the Fortune 500. Along the way, she found success in developing materials for career and entrepreneurship programs. In 2006, she combined her interests and started ConsultantJournal.com, an online community designed to help people start, run and grow independent consulting businesses. Andrea continues as the managing director of Consultant Journal while running her own consulting practice. She is a contributor to a variety of publications, a frequent media guest, a self employment program advisor, a business coach, university instructor and an award-winning entrepreneur. She is the author of seven ebooks, including Consulting Fees (Abridged), Become a Consultant, Discover Your Inner Consultant and Freelance Fees. Andrea also shares her time as a volunteer for a variety of community organizations and can be found chasing her young children around Vancouver.
