Guillermo Julio Montero is a clinical, training and supervising psychoanalyst, as well as a Full Member of the International Psychoanalytical Association through the Argentine Psychoanalytic Association, and the President of Travesía Foundation (Psychoanalysis for Midlife Transition and Crisis) [www.fundaciontravesia.org.ar] since its creation in 1989 (an Argentine non-profit organization devoted to the study of midlife metapsychology from a psychoanalytic standpoint). He is also the author of several books: La travesía por la mitad de la vida. Exégesis psicoanalítica (Homo Sapiens), Para comprender la mediana edad: historias de vida (Entrevía Editorial), Mediana edad: estudios psicoanalíticos (Entrevía Editorial), one of the editors and author of one chapter in Updating Midlife: Psychoanalytic Perspectives (Karnac Books), and also the author of papers for a metapsychological understanding of middle age in different international psychoanalytic magazines and a frequent deliverer of related papers at international psychoanalytic congresses.
