I was born in Liverpool around the same time as Paul McCartney and am lucky enough to have watched the Beatles perform live while they were at the peak of their creativity.
My debut novel, ‘The Strangling Angel’, is set in Ireland during the Great Famine. It opens with a gruesome double murder and follows the gruelling journey of a young heroine, as she flees for her life and fights to survive among the displaced Irish in the Liverpool slums.
The story has all the ingredients of a rich Irish stew. It's satisfying; colourful and crammed with rich meaty bits, and the hot romantic scenes will leave you gasping!
Lots of my readers ‘complain’ because once they start to read my books they cannot stop. The great news is- the sequel is now published on Amazon, (Girl from the Gutter), so you can continue to follow Delia’s adventures!
After you meet the Harkin characters you’ll feel as if you've known them all your life. During the writing, they became so much a part of me, I cried when it was time to type ‘The End’.
