My motto "untangling superheroes from their capes," applies to both my fictional stories, and my real life. I patch a lot of holes in capes.

The high desert is my home, which I share with my lifetime boyfriend and a chocolate Mini-Labradoodle named "Max." A backdrop of majestic red cliffs and colorful sandstone canyons feed my muse when riding my Harley Davidson, or climbing sand dunes on my ATV. I'm a hopeless romantic, avid stargazer, and chocoholic. And I also don't believe in growing old.

I chose the Young Adult/New Adult genre because the teenage years are driven by passion. Decisions are made from the heart--innocent and full of hope, with a "live in the moment" thrill that comes from experiencing something for the first time. Sometimes things are awesome, but a lot of times, life sucks. The sting of betrayal, shattering heartbreak, and constant peer pressure, not to mention excitement, laced with panic, about the future. Consequences for choices made can leave lifetime scars, both physically and emotionally.

And in the middle, causing ultimate joy or heartache, is the love story. Love is the key to life, along with hope of a happily-ever-after.
