Jane Lambert

Jane Lambert is a lifelong rancher, and retired schoolteacher. Her family homesteaded in Northern California in 1850, and she grew up on the family ranch, continued in its operation, while teaching Vocational Agriculture and Home Economics at Kelseyville High School. In 1981, she moved, along with her daughter, Lisa, to Stevensville, MT, where she still resides. She and her husband, Eric raise hay and rent pasture on Sunset Bench, along with caring for and riding, one horse, and two mules.

A lifelong interest in horses, and Charlie Russell's art led to the writing of Charlie Russell, The Cowboy Years, and it has been well received by the old timers in North Central Montana, and has received excellent reviews in national publications like Western Horseman, American Cowboy, and Ranch and Reata.
