Trenna Valado is an anthropologist whose work focuses on improving the well-being of children, youth, and families through research and evaluation of social programs and policies. She has conducted projects on various topics, including homelessness, benefits enrollment, home visiting, substance abuse, drug treatment, mental health, co-occurring disorders, child trauma, dropout prevention, and systems integration. She currently lives in the Washington, DC, area with her husband, two daughters, a dog, and some guppies.
