Chris Raven

Chris Raven launched a career in travel writing with his brother, Simon Raven, following an epic journey in a rusty Ford Sierra, from their hometown in the UK to Vladivostok, on the Sea of Japan. The travel classic Driving the Trans-Siberian paved the way for a series of popular titles, including Hike, Drive, Stayin’ Alive!, Black Sea Circuit, Living the Linger and Carnival Express.

Transitioning into fiction, the Raven Brothers released their debut screenplay The Big Fork Off, a gritty drama inspired by their experiences working in warehouses in the UK’s logistics golden triangle. The pursuit of writing for screen, led onto the development of the comedy-drama for radio, Jack & Laurel Can’t Travel: Mexico. Based on true events, the story follows two brothers (playful reimaginings of the authors themselves) on a journey across southern Mexico.

In addition to their written work, the Raven Brothers have earned recognition for their candid street photography. The book No Rush accompanies an exhibition of original prints first displayed on the streets of Kolkata, offering a visual complement to their literary explorations.
