Clive F. Sorrell

Clive's creative career started when he was 14. He washed water pots and cleaned brushes for artists before moving to London and studying typography. He then progressed to art director, copywriter, creative director and lastly executive creative director - working for national and multi-national ad agencies. His career took him from Adelaide to London, Johannesburg, London (again), Jeddah and lastly, Dubai. When he retired he exchanged writing faction for fiction and with his wife's active support as a professional proofreader he began writing novels. Ten years on the Arabian Peninsular inspired him to write his first crime/thrillers, entitled 'Siddiqui', 'Kawthar' and 'Jumana'. These were self-published through Authorhouse along with a collection of short macabre tales, 'Stories for Dark and Stormy Nights'. Clive then followed these with another crime/thriller set in 1960s England entitled 'Duress - The Life and Death of a Ton-Up'. They are all available on Amazon. Having recently completed 'Ingrid's Children' and the sequel, 'The Distant Cousin', it is now his goal to publish them whilst he continues with the third book in the series. Clive's other interests, when he has the time, include photography, film and travel.
