Jay Jayaraman

Jay Jayaraman serves as a Senior Principal at Accenture Analytics which he joined through the acquisition of OPS Rules (a leading management consulting firm) where he served as Partner.

He provides thought leadership and expertise with designing and deploying solutions to clients that combine strategy and advanced analytics (machine learning & optimization). He has extensive experience in supply chain strategy & large scale network design with projects ranging from pre/post merger supply chain rationalization to helping clients align their supply chain to fuel growth.

Previously, he served as the head of a solutions practice within IBM that focused on developing & implementing optimization-based solutions for its clients' most challenging business problems. Prior to this he worked for Kuehne & Nagel, leading leading network design projects and helping implement the results.

His book, Supply Chain Network Design, co-authored with three colleagues from IBM, is based on his knowledge and experience with network design since 2000, covering his tenure in both the 3PL and consulting environments.

Mr. Jayaraman holds a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Anna University, India. He is based in the Chicago area and enjoys cheering for the Chicago Bears and Bulls.
