Sandro Asatiani

Sandro (Alexander) Asatiani is an author whose work is uniquely informed by three core pillars: Education, Technology, and Art.

Education:

Alexander has over a decade of experience designing and implementing advanced educational frameworks. He has developed and secured accreditation for Master's programs at major Georgian institutions, including Media Engineering at GIPA and Media Arts at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, where he serves as an Invited Professor. Building on this, he has developed dedicated courses on Artificial Intelligence for both Ilia State University and the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. He is the founder of the informal education programs GeoLabs and UniLabs, and currently directs the UniLab ICT laboratory at Ilia State University. His experience also includes work as a researcher at the University of Maryland and as a high-level ICT expert for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Technology:

His expertise as an ICT expert for the Ministry of Education involved shaping national-level educational technology strategy. Complementing his technical and academic roles, Alexander is a professional artist with numerous solo and group exhibitions in cities like Florence, Paris, Tbilisi, and Minneapolis. This artistic background is central to his worldview. He believes art fosters a unique form of creativity, offering new perspectives to see challenges differently. This creative, non-judgemental eye allows him to explore technological and educational processes in his writing, demystifying complex tools like AI and reframing them as powerful partners for human expression.
