Bob Bell

Captain Bob Bell was born in Cairo, Georgia in 1942 to hard-working, civic-minded parents who wanted Bob to have a good education to use in constructive service. Bob dreamed of being a Navy officer but was completely shut out by poor eyesight. Bob graduated from college in 1965 at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school there, he learned his limited vision also barred his path toward being a lawyer in the Navy, so he enlisted in another branch of the service. Later while serving in an Army unit, in an unusual and fateful turn of events, his commanding officer ordered Bob to re-apply to the Navy. Bob was baffled by the apparent futility of his renewed application but obeyed. When Bob was told he passed the physical, Bob thought there was an obvious mistake, but the doctor informed him the regulations were recently changed to provide a waiver of the strict vision requirements for Navy reserve legal commissions. After Bob was fatefully ushered into the Navy, he understood why he had a persistent, recurring mental picture of himself in a Navy officer's uniform walking through the front door of his mother's house during the earlier years when he knew he was not eligible for a Navy commission. Years later in July, 1984, Bob was working toward future Navy retirement at the 20-year mark when the terrible wreck occurred. Bob, his wife and daughter died together. When Bob's life was miraculously restored, he came back from the dead with missions from above involving the Navy and national defense. Bob was again obedient to destiny and stayed in the Navy, completing 32 years of combined federal service on active duty, in the reserves and as a civilian employee. "Between Life and Eternity" is the story of Bob's terrible tragedy, the death of his family, his encounter with an angel, his struggle to recover after the wreck and related future events affecting him, many others and our nation for 27 years following his encounter with the angel. Bob did not expect what happened to him but was faithful to comply with the angel's agenda and was amazed as God opened doors Bob was unable to open. Bob is working on a second book telling more about events during the middle years of the angel's agenda, mostly from 1989-1995 with some additional insights into the future. Bob was attracted to international work as a civilian and in the Navy, including early efforts involving terrorism issues and the truce ending the Vietnam War.
