My creative experience includes poetry, painting and photography. Some of my poems and travel articles have been published in books and magazines.
I am an Australian citizen living in Sydney but I was born in South Africa. After graduating high school I studied electronic engineering in Johannesburg then gained valuable work experience as an audio and video technician. During this time, I saw first hand all the behind the scenes action of making music and TV productions.
My life was interrupted by having to do two years compulsory military service where I was trained to use various weapons, communications equipment and combat procedures for the bush-war.
Along the way, my technical career took many turns and I also worked as a medical technician repairing xray equipment and cat-scanners which gave me behind the scenes knowledge of what really goes on in some hospitals when the patients aren't looking. While working as a software engineer, I traveled to the USA for training and also worked in London UK for seven months.
My first novel, "Fear of Purple", draws from much of this crazy life experience and I tried to make the story fast moving and entertaining. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed researching and writing it.
