Amy S Quinn

Amy Quinn is an acclaimed independent consultant, speaker, facilitator, writer and all around "go-getter". After successful positions in the business and nonprofit sectors, she followed her heart and established a A Table In Time.

One of Amy's favorite questions to start a conversation is to ask “Where were you born?” This leads to additional questions about someone’s birth order in the family, stories associated with their birth and name, how they feel about birthdays and favorite memories or traditions for celebrating the day. Maybe someone has more than one birth name! One time a friend shared that he didn’t know the actual date of his birthday until turning eight years old.

Most people enjoy sharing their stories and Amy, in turn, revels in hearing them. For as long as she can remember she's dreamt of meeting people in far away places. Outside of travel, entertaining and getting to know friends “in her own back yard” has been a constant joy. The world is full of thoughtful individuals: “Every person represents a world in us” is her favorite maxim.

While life is anchored in Denver, Colorado, Amy and her husband of twenty-six years often host gatherings together. They have two fast-growing, almost adult children who enjoy dining on the patio whenever there’s a chance. The Colorado weather often obliges. The dogs lie close by, sensing that life is good or maybe their just coveting the leftovers!

In addition to publishing her book, she teaches pre-school and is a passionate advocate for medical research to cure spinal cord paralysis. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from Bucknell University.

Bonne Conversation! Bon Appetit!
