A.B.M. Razaul Karim Faquire

Dr. A.B.M. Razaul Karim Faquire is a scholar of linguistics, language policy, geopolitics, and Japan–Bangladesh strategic relations. He served as Professor of Japanese Language and Culture and Director of the Institute of Modern Languages at the University of Dhaka, and has held visiting professorships at Kobe Gakuin University, Japan, and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia, together with an adjunct faculty position at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Dhaka and completed doctoral coursework at Hyogo University of Teacher Education, Japan, under a MEXT scholarship. He has served as Visiting Research Fellow at the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL), Japan.
