Annette Kunow

Annette Kunow, born in Berlin in 1953, is an engineer, former professor, artist and author.

After studying engineering at the University of Stuttgart and earning her doctorate, she worked as an engineer in various fields of industry. In 1988, she became a professor at Bochum University of Applied Sciences. Alongside her academic career, she developed her artistic practice, which has accompanied her for decades and led to numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad.

As an author, she has published books on engineering and professional topics as well as books on creativity and art.

In her book Mein Lebenskalendarium – Geschichten aus meinem Leben, she brings together many of the themes that have shaped these different areas of her life: encounters, decisions, work, art, relationships and social change across more than seven decades.
