Steve Calvert

Steve Calvert’s short stories have appeared in various online and offline publications including Hub, Best, Arkham Tales, The Rose and Thorn Literary Ezine, and on the Pseudopod and Drabblecast podcasts. He generally writes horror fiction, often of a speculative nature, but occasionally delves into other genres such as erotica and general fiction.

Steve began writing at an early age, initially concentrating on poetry, and successfully placed his poems in mixed-author anthologies and small press magazines. Later he moved his focus to writing short stories and submitting them to magazines. In 2004, after many rejection letters, he won a quarterly competition run by a small press magazine. He found homes for six more of his stories the following year, and was accepted as an affiliate member of the Horror Writers’ Association (HWA) in 2006.
