Monique Colver

Monique Colver comes from a long line of . . . people, few, if any, who were writers. As a result, she kept her ambitions to herself, and took every opportunity to write. Like many illustrious writers, she was laughed at by family members, but that was because she looked funny and had nothing to do with her writing.

Monique has made a career out of professional smart-assery, and though it pays little to nothing, she persists. "Some day," she says, "the world will be ready!"

Her first book, An Uncommon Friendship: a memoir of love, mental illness, and friendship, was written to tell a story, but along the way she found a passion for helping those who have a mental illness, and those who love them. She's currently working on The Caretaker's Survival Guide.
