I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I currently reside with my husband and one cheeky cat.

As an avid reader and movie lover since childhood, I devoured everything fantasy and science fiction, firmly establishing my love and passion for storytelling of the otherworldly kind.

In 2009 I began writing full-time (my first major work being The Sword Bearers series) when my successful professional dance career came to a natural end and my husband and greatest supporter urged me to pursue my talent for storytelling.
