David Arturi

The only way David Arturi could've written the three books (so far) that he wrote was to have lived them.

1)THEY GO TO SEA--he's a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and then sailed as radio officer in the Merchant Marine for over 43 years. He sailed around the world many times and to over 100 countries and places!

2)THE LAST OF ALL DESIRE (no longer available for sale)--he spent time studying Zen Buddhism in Japan and elsewhere.

3)THE BELVEDERES OF BROOKLYN--which is a partial memoir of his growing up in Brooklyn during the 1930s.

HOWEVER, in regards to book #2, the author did a radical rewrite of his experiences (fictional and real) that he wrote about. It's in eBOOK format available on amazon.com. The eBOOK contains some fascinating photos of post-war Japan, which is the subject of the novel. The new title is "THE AMERICAN OCCUPATION OF JAPAN 1945-1952: A LOOK BACK." It can be downloaded to your portable Kindle or your Kindle for PC.
