Fabio Piccini

Fabio Piccini, born in Rimini, Italy, is a medical doctor and graduate of the Modena University School of Medicine. He has completed a Jungian psychoanalytic training with AIPA (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia Analitica) in Milan and Rome. He is currently a registered teaching member of IAAP (International Association of Analytical Psychology) in Zurich.

As a specialist in eating disorders and obesity, he holds a doctorate in Food, Nutrition, and Health from the UNIVPM Faculty of Medicine in Ancona, Italy, where he researched the neurobiology of food preferences, meal frequency, and intermittent fasting, and their impact on metabolic syndrome.

A former director of the Center for the Therapy of Eating Disorders at the “Malatesta Novello” Private Hospital in Cesena, he has also been a Contract Professor of Behavioral Medicine at the University of Cesena.

He is the author of many scientific books and articles about psychotherapy, eating behavior, eating disorders, obesity, and the Mediterranean diet, and he is the co-founder of the Italian Microbiome Project.
