Larry G Johnson

Larry G. Johnson - Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he grew up on a family dairy farm near Owasso, Oklahoma. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa. Following two years in the US Army with a tour of duty with the First Infantry Division in Vietnam, he returned to graduate school and obtained an MBA. Thereafter, he spent 20 years at a savings and loan with 16 years as its CEO. This was followed by 10 years as the CFO of a publicly held company.

Johnson's “Tar Creek – A History of the Quapaw Indians, The World’s Largest Lead and Zinc Discovery, and the Tar Creek Superfund Site” was named a finalist in the 2010 Non-fiction Book of the Year for the Oklahoma affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book.

“Ye shall be as gods – Humanism and Christianity – The Battle for Supremacy in the American Cultural Vision” was the end product of 30 years of reading, research, and thought on the impact of the humanistic worldview on American culture and the erosion of the Judeo-Christian worldview under which the nation was founded.

Johnson writes weekly articles on his website culturewarrior.net and speaks about Christianity and the culture to various groups and organizations.His He lives in Owasso with his wife.
