Gib van Ert

Gib van Ert KC practises civil and public law litigation with Olthuis van Ert in Ottawa and Vancouver. His text, Using International Law in Canadian Courts, and other writings on the reception of public international law in Canada have been frequently cited by the Supreme Court of Canada and other courts. He is a former president of the Canadian Council on International Law and the former Executive Legal Officer to two chief justices of Canada.
