To quote Mark Twain: "My books are like water; those of the great geniuses are wine. (Fortunately) everybody drinks water."
I specialize in writing realistic fiction; both historical and contemporary. I am blessed to have an overdeveloped imagination! I often get my ideas for stories from dreams.
Some of my favorite authors are Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, H.G. Wells, John Steinbeck, Stephen King, Rod Serling, Richard Matheson (Twilight Zone, I am Legend), and Earl Hamner (best known for "The Waltons").
I try to not write in a particular genre. In these times of mega novel series I think it's important to value the short stories, novelettes, and novellas. A great story doesn't have be a book the size of a dictionary.
The titles I have for purchase on Amazon in ebook and paperback versions are:
Island Unknown. Its a great little adventure story that would also make a great movie. Any audience over the age of nine would appreciate it and there is nothing offensive in the story.
The Mystery of the Golden Pocket Watch: The Exciting Sequel to Island Unknown. The unanswered questions in Island Unknown are taken care of in this sequel.
I've got a great collection of short stories, Destiny Binds Us All: Tales of Fate. This book of stories would be enjoyed by both men and women.
We can't forget Stronghawk, a novel set in the 1980's where a young man is plunged into sudden stardom only to have it all plucked away. Great characters and a great storyline.
