Sharon Cramer

Sharon Cramer writes stories for readers of all ages, creating worlds that range from children's adventures to young adult science fiction and dark historical fantasy.

She is the author of The WINTERGRAVE CHRONICLES, a medieval fantasy series beginning with THE EXECUTION, followed by RISEN and NIVEUS. Set in 14th century France, the series explores forbidden love, family, betrayal, sacrifice, redemption, and the darker corners of the human heart.

She is writing THE BLACK BEYOND, a six-book, space opera series beginning with THE CERULEAN STAR.

When she's not writing, Sharon is an aspiring time traveler, alien princess, and Master painter of Halloween faces. She writes from a dank, dark cave somewhere in Washington State—or at least that's where she claims to be.

When not planning historical ruin and perfectly crushed hearts, Sharon can often be found wandering the lovely woods, talking to herself, driven by sleeplessness, an endless pull toward the keyboard, and the occasional extra-strong coffee. She is inspired by unorthodox friends, extreme weather, historical mysteries, and the strange places that only a warped imagination can take us.

Sharon lives on a national wildlife sanctuary, consequently is mother to the many wild creatures that call it home, nineteen rescued chickens, a good horse and a marginally behaved one, and six saltwater fish (all of whom have names). She is married to a man who surely deserves the Nobel Prize for Extreme Tolerance.

Whether writing for children, young adults, or readers who enjoy the lovely trappings of a darker tale, Sharon invites you to step into one of her worlds and stay awhile.
