Pat Pattan was hooked into writing ever since elementary school in her native Winnipeg, when she got a few "yuks" with her short stories. Settling in New Jersey, she chose a career in advertising where she honed her skills by writing humorous radio commercials, ad copy, and feature articles for local newspapers. In 2009 she published her first book,"When We Were Growing Up: Stories of Families That Turned Hard Times into Good Times". It is a collection of interviews of people that grew up between the 1920's through the 1960's. Her most recent venture is HARRY, a play about a homeless man who comes to live with his rich relatives.
