Brendan Denis Lynch

Brendan D. Lynch is a teacher, author, publisher, travel agent, educational technology consultant for Google, former Uber driver, wanna-be-chef, and lover of all things bacon.

Brendan graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000, where he was a manager for the UConn men's basketball team, and a member of the 1999 national championship team. After UConn he did the whole grad school thing, got a couple more degrees, then started his teaching career.

Brendan has been teaching fifth grade for the past 18 years in Connecticut. He has been a technology leader in his district, has given numerous presentations/workshops on educational technology, and teaches workshops on writing and illusions/brain games. In 2011, Brendan and his students helped break a Guinness World Record for the world's tallest sandcastle. In 2012, he was a nominee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics. The most important words of wisdom that Brendan teaches his students are that he hates the following: glitter of any kind, romance stories with a horse on the book cover, and reality shows about dancing. He does, however, love bacon of all varieties.

He is the author of Did You Ever Wonder, The Document, and helped his students write Just Don't Do It: 1,665 Things You Should Never Do (2016), Guess It (2017), and The Bacon Fell On The Floor and other shocking six word stories (2018).

Brendan is the owner of a travel agency, 1776 Travel, and enjoys traveling anywhere that is at least one mile from his house.

He lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children. Brendan also wishes he invented the internet, nuclear submarines, and whatever it is that makes chocolate milk taste so delicious.
