I've had weird and terrifying dreams for as long as I can remember. Starting around 15-20 years ago, those turned into the occasional night-terror. I always thought about writing them down and turning them into books, but one day I actually did it.
My first book, The 11th Floor, came out in March 2012. As a new writer, I made a lot of mistakes. Learning from those mistakes, I wrote my second book, The 11th Floor: Awakening (Part two).
Both of those books received numerous 4 and 5 star reviews. Of course there is the scattered 2 and 3 star reviews of people who just say they hated with, offering no real criticism, so take that for whats its worth. I have several top 500 and top 1000 Amazon reviewers giving me 4 and 5 stars, as well as a few people in the vine voice program.
Taking the real criticisms, I wrote my third book, The Foreman. I learned from my mistakes and I think this is my best work yet! I hope you'll check it out and agree.
My wife and mother have been a great support team, reading and giving me valuable feedback along the way. Without them my books would probably be pure rubbish. For that, I thank them.
So what lies ahead? I'll probably continue writing as the ideas come to me. I truly enjoy it and I think it works well for me as a creative outlet. Sure, it would be nice to actually make some money off this and be able to do it for a living, but things are pretty good right now. I'll just roll with the punches.
