D. Marietta Williams

Born in Washington, D.C., D. Marietta Williams has been the Artistic Director of the Asbury Performing Arts Theatre of Asbury United Methodist Church since 2005. She has written, directed, and produced their productions; most noteably Judas: What Was He Thinking! and Washington's Greatest Slave Escape: In the Spirit of the Pearl which was performed at the University of DC in 20011. D. Marietta is also a union actress having toured with the Negro Ensemble Company in their production of Ceremonies in Dark Old Men. It was just a matter of time before her passion extended to the page.
