Who am I? You know, that is a very good question. I think it is a question everyone wrestles with from time to time. It happens when life changes a little bit at a time until there is nothing left of who you thought yourself to be. You wake up one day, look in the mirror, and say "Who the hell is that?", so far out of your personal idea of yourself that your reflection is no longer familiar to you.
Me, I am just a man with too many words in his head. I like to write things that make people laugh, and then make people think. My life isn't the most difficult, or the most dangerous, or even the most exciting. It is, however, mine. In my writings, I hope to help people see that they are stronger than they are. Sometimes, this is through strict philosophy, others it is in a fable-type format, hiding the lesson under an enjoyable tale filled with laughs and pain.
I like to see people as people. I never have liked the idea of the pure hero. I want to know why he took that path. I want to see their destiny scare them, but they step up and do it anyway. I like to see people in the stories I read, not ever-perfect scions of an idea.
I am a black belt, a brother, a biker, an uncle, a mechanic, and a son. I don't quite have a handle on this whole "creative process" thing, yet. No artist ever really should. When we get a handle on what it is we feel is creating, we stop growing. I am not done growing, not by a long shot.
