Essie McDee

Essie McDee lives in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Cajun capital of the world, with her four cats; Etoile, Soleil, Penelope, and Bonne Nuit, and a cast of imaginary characters that sometimes drive her a bit crazy but are always entertaining.

She is proud of her Cajun heritage, and it shines through in many of the descriptions of the people and places found in her Broussard Witches series.

She also loves the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama and spends at least a month there every year. Of course, when she goes on vacation, her characters go with her. The fictitious Friend Ship beach house that Emile buys for his family and friends is based on beach houses Essie has rented in the past.

Essie has spent many years helping others to perfect their writing and now enjoys focusing on her own craft exclusively. She hopes that her readers will fall in love with her characters the same way she has.
