De'Vonna Pittman

De'Vonna Bentley-Pittman is committed to providing leadership to end sexual abuse. She earned an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Minneapolis Community and Technical College and continued her studies at Metropolitan State University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Services with a focus in Community Corrections. She currently serves on the Sexual Violence Center Board of Directors in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lives with her husband and two daughters. This is her first published work. Excerpts from My Pretty...and Its Ugly Truth is featured in the 2012 Minnesota State Arts Board 8th Annual Art of Recovery exhibit to bring continued awareness to victim's rights.

While De'Vonna is the mother to two daughters, both in college, her current career focus is in Corrections where she works with adult males, females, and teen boys. De'Vonna credits those in her inner circle, "My family and friends give me strength to continue to follow my dreams and my intrinsic whims!" She's a motivational speaker currently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
