Dr. William Lee was born in Sioux Falls, S. D. and grew up in Topeka, Kansas from age 12. He was class president and student body president at the Bellamy Award Winning Topeka High School. He also excelled at music and sports. He earned degrees in both Economics and Political Science at the University of Kansas, where he was Sophomore Class President. He graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City. He received his excellent training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Los Angeles County / University of Southern California, argueably the best and busiest training in OB-Gyn at the time. Dr. Lee became Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1979. He was invited to join, and elected into membership in the prestigious Central Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 1981. He was the Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Porter Hospital while they opened their Obstetrical Service 1988 – 1990. He served as Chairman of the Department of OB-Gyn at Swedish Medical Center 1990 – 1992. Dr. Lee has a wealth of experience having practiced in the Denver area since 1977, delivering over 6,000 babies. His career includes listings in several Who’s Who organizations, and “Best Doctors” awards. He has served on the Board of OB – Gyn Affiliates since its’ inception. In 2000, in pursuit of help for his son with autism, he ventured into alternative medicine by studying Functional Medicine, the medicine of the future. In 2003, he became Certified in Age Management Medicine by Cenegenics. He became Board Certified in Anti-Aging Medicine in 2004, having to learn about Nutrition and Exercise, and how that interplays with total Hormone Balance to optimize Health and Aging. This training has allowed Dr. Lee special expertise in menopause, Andropause (male menopause), and Bio-Identical Hormones for women and men. Recently, he has studied with Diana Schwarzbein, MD, author of the Schwarzbein Principle I, and the Schwarzbein Principle II. She was also a great resource to Suzanne Somers when she wrote her book, The Sexy Years. By special appointment, Dr. Lee also practices “Age Management Medicine,” or “Anti-Aging Medicine.” Dr Lee has also been certified in the Metagenics First Line Therapy program. Most recently he published his book, Over 50 Feeling 30! The first section explains the 12 thing that age us. He goes into detail explaining what these processes are, why they are important, why they are bad, and what to do about them. It is a "self health" book.
Dr Lee has 4 children and 4 step children, ranging in ages from 22 to 38, the youngest having Autism. Outside the office he enjoys hiking, biking, golf, and squash. He would like to find the time to do more flying.
