Jason Arnett

Jason Arnett lives and works in NE Kansas with his wife and rescue dog, Stella, who fiercely protects the house, the yard, and the neighborhood. He writes science fiction/futurist adventures on the plains of the fantastic and self-publishes them. His stories tend to explore humanity’s need for connection and understanding the wider environment around the characters.

He’s performed with several bands, written original songs that were played on stage and recorded, received local radio airplay, and presented some of his futurist ideas at conferences in the field of his day job.

His early works with the boutique publisher Actionopolis (Evolver and Agent of D.A.N.G.E.R.) established him as a genre writer embracing influences from both the pulps, comics, and science fiction. He is a founder and former contributor to the online writing collective The Confabulator Café where he wrote short stories and flash fiction, some of which was later collected into A Map of the Problem in 2019, his first foray into self-publishing through a print on demand service.

That publication led to a collaboration with painter Rob Schamberger that resulted in the first of three planned novellas in a series called The Wave. Rudow Can’t Fail released in 2021 and the writing was compared favorably to Phillip K. Dick and Richard K. Morgan. The next book in the series, War in Vain, is in revisions. Most recently, Jason published The Envoy, first in the tetralogy he calls All the Devils Are Here which has been praised as an “edge of the seat galactic and political thriller.” He is currently at work revising the second of All the Devils Are Here and plotting out the third.
