Tarabud was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Colombian immigrants. As a child, she lived with her maternal family in Colombia, South America, and grew up enfolded in the richness of Latin American culture. Later transplanted to California, she developed a bi-cultural identity that still inspires her creative work. She cultivated her love of story at the California State University of Long Beach, where she completed a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. Afterward, she relocated to San Francisco Bay Area, to complete a Master's Degree in Transpersonal/Somatic Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, and practiced as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California.
Tarabud has self-published two novellas: "La Botanica," "La Semilla," and a poetry collection, "In Moments Like These." She completed her first novel, while she was secluded on Bainbridge Island in the Puget Sound, in Washington state. "Nadir to Zenith," is a space opera for young adult science fiction lovers. It was self-published on 4/11/2019 through Amazon Books.
Tarabud now resides with her husband in San Diego, California.
